Leandro de Deus Santos
Léandro ( civil Léandro de Deus Santos, born April 26, 1977 in Belo Horizonte ) is a Brazilian footballer. He played in midfield during the German first division club Borussia Dortmund, but then went back to his previous club Clube Atlético Mineiro.
Life and career
Léandro de Deus Santos grew up as the first of six brothers in a favela in the metropolis of Belo Horizonte. He began with four years at the football games. His brothers Lucas and Leonardo were professional footballers, Léandro played from 2002 to 2004 together with Dedé Borussia Dortmund, where he was mostly used in the amateur team as a midfielder.
At age nine, he played with Soares, who also played professionally later when Lincoln football, and his brother Dede together a trial with Atlético Mineiro.
Bundesliga career
At 25, he began his professional career at Borussia Dortmund. For the SCI, he completed twelve league games, in which two goals get him.
In the amateurs Leandro scored eight goals in 35 games.
