Learning Resource Server Medicine

The Learning Resource Server Medicine ( LRSMed ) is a catalog of electronic teaching and learning modules for the study of human and dental medicine.

History

The LRSMed was at the Institute for Medical computer science, Biometry and Epidemiology ( IMIBE ) at the University of Duisburg-Essen in the framework of the joint project Vision 2003 - Teaching and Learning Systems in Medicine: developed Intelligent & Multimedia. Vision 2003 was funded by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research Funding New Media in Education with the registration 08NM057I. Term of Vision 2003 was from 1 January 2001 to 31 December 2003.

Content

The LRSMed managed free, web - based teaching and learning modules for the study of medicine and the study of dentistry. These are described in a quasi-standard metadata for teaching and learning modules, the IMS Learning Resource Meta -data Information Model. About selected features, the user can browse the entries LRSMed. These features include, among others, the medical specialty, the type of application and the language of the module.

Stand

The LRSMed is at the Institute for Medical Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology ( IBE), Ludwig- Maximilians- University Munich ( LMU) manages (as of July 2013). In LRSMed are 1632 free teaching and learning modules are registered (as of August 7, 2013 ).
