Lee Kyung-hwan

Lee Kyung- hwan ( Kor. 이경환; born March 21, 1988, † April 14, 2012 in Incheon ) was a South Korean football player.

Career

Lee played the College team Myoungsin University and in 2009 went to Daejeon Citizen. In 2011 he was engaged by the Suwon Bluewings. During his time at the Citizen he was involved in match-fixing, which came out in a big football betting scandal in the K League in 2011 and as a result he has been banned in August 2011 for the South Korean soccer leagues for life.

On April 14, 2012, he ended his life at the age of 24 years committed suicide in Incheon. This was the fourth suicide of a person involved of the betting scandal. Players Yoon Ki -won from Incheon United, Jung Jong- kwan of Seoul United and the former coach Lee Su- chul of Sangmu Phoenix already committed suicide in 2011.
