Lee Sang-hee

Lee Sang- hee ( born 1945 ) is a South Korean politician and retired general.

Career

Lee Sang- hee graduated from the Military Academy in 1970 and 1974 at the College of Liberal Arts & Science from Seoul National University. In 1995 he reached the rank of general and was until 2005 held various command functions. In 2003 he was promoted to four- star general. From 2005 to 2006 he served as the 32nd Chief of Staff of the South Korean armed forces, before he finally retired from the military. He was succeeded by Kim Kwan -jin.

On 29 February 2008 he was appointed as successor to Kim Jang -soo of Defence of the Republic of Korea. He held until September 2009, before he was replaced by Kim Tae -young this office.
