Leesten

Leesten is a municipality in the district of Strullendorf Bamberg in Upper Franconia, Bavaria.

2010 were counted in Leesten 259 inhabitants.

Leesten has a height of about 300 m above sea level. NN. and lies on the state roads in 2188 and 2210.

The place name comes from the Slavic word Liescina, which means hazel bushes.

On January 1, 1972, until then independent municipality Leesten was incorporated into the municipality Strullendorf.
