Left gastric artery

The left gastric artery ( "left gastric artery ") is an artery of the abdominal cavity in the area of the upper abdomen. She is one of the three main branches of the celiac trunk.

The left gastric artery moves to the upper portion of the lesser curvature of the stomach. There, it anastomoses with the same right artery ( left gastric artery ) and supplied together with her this part of the stomach wall. It also sends branches to the esophagus ( Rami oesophagei ) and thus contributes to the blood supply of the lower section of the organ.
