ÅÄ™gi, Police County
Legi ( German Laack ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the district Police ( Pölitzer circle) and is a part of the community Dobra ( Daber ).
Geographical location
Legi located in the eastern Pomerania on the southeastern edge of the Ueckermünder Heath ( Puszcza Wkrzańska ), about 4 km north of the village of Dobra ( Daber ), 14 km west of the city Police ( Pölitz ) and 16 km north- west of Szczecin.
History
The village Laack is a recent settlement, which in the 19th century on a site - has been created, which had originally belonged to the Nassenheider goods and the manor Stolzenburg - called Laacke. First, the outworks Laak I and II Laak had emerged in the mid- 19th century in the field mark of the village Nassenheide.
In the early 1930s had the boundaries of the municipality Laack a surface area of 6.8 km ², and on the community foundation on which Laack the only place of residence was, were a total of 31 residential buildings. In the year 1925 230 inhabitants were counted in the community Laack, which were distributed to 43 households.
Until 1939 the village Laack had belonged to Randow county in the district of Stettin Pomerania. On 15 October 1939, was incorporated into the circle Ueckermuende, in which it remained until 1945.
After the Second World War Laack was placed under Polish administration and renamed Legi.
Development of the population
Religion
The population before 1945 in Laack was present with a large majority of the evangelical creed. Among the 1925 counted 230 inhabitants there were 208 Protestants and 14 Catholics.
