Lego City Undercover (proper spelling: LEGO City Undercover ) is an open- world game of the action-adventure genre. It was developed by TT Fusion and marketed by Nintendo in March 2013 exclusively for the Wii U. In April 2013 appeared for the 3DS a prequel called Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins.

The plot of Undercover takes place two years after the events of The Chase Begins. The player assumes the role of the police officer Chase McCain, who should catch the criminals Rex Fury in Lego City. The gameplay is strongly oriented towards open-world games like Grand Theft Auto. It is based on the Lego franchise; most objects in the game are made of Lego bricks.

Undercover was well received by the trade press. At Metacritic it holds an average rating of 80/ 100 points.

Action

The game tells the cops Chase McCain, who comes to Lego City to make the villain Rex Fury under arrest. In the past, McCain took action against Rex, but this is now the outbreak succeeded. Development

TT fusion harbored for a long time the desire to develop a system based on Lego City video game, but never had the opportunity and produced instead Lego games with a license as a base. 2010 started the studio to produce a prototype of a Lego City video game. 2011 Nintendo visited the studio and, against the then still under development, new Wii U console. The Japanese group convinced the studio to develop the prototype on the Wii U. According to the developers, it was not long until the game was redeveloped on the Wii U. Lego City Undercover was developed by TT Fusion under the supervision of Nintendo. The group was in contact with the developers and sent regular feedback, but did not intervene directly in the development. In the game's tablet -like controller, the Wii U much is used.
