Legowelt

Danny Wolfers is a Dutch musician who has become known mainly under the pseudonym Lego world.

The style

Lego world is a DJ and electronic music producer, whose style he combined as a hybrid form of slam jack The Hague Electronix with deep Chicago Trax, Obscure & Romantic Ghetto Techno radio and Euro Horror Soundtrack describes. His preference for older and classic synthesizers can be heard clearly in his plays. These have partly an unusually rough, warm or old-fashioned sound, their own style.

The person

Legowelt began producing music in the early 1990s. At this time he came into contact with Detroit's Underground Resistance, to be the among other things - by its own account - favorite producer of all time, Blake Baxter, belongs. Further, took the Chicago musicians Farley Jackmaster Funk, Armando Gallop and Mr. Fingers, and later, among others, M- ziq, Aphex Twin and Drexciya influence on him and his music.

The biggest impact, however, the band had Unit Moebius. Because the realization that they came from his hometown The Hague, led him to the record company Bunker Records. There he met musical kindred spirits and finally published with Pimpshifter (1998), his first album, which was a success with hits such as Petrel and Total Pussy Control. The following EP 's economic miracle is also one of his best works.

2002, the readers of the German magazine Groove Lego Old World Single Disco Rout for song of the year, which gave him general recognition.

Mostly he published his records under other pseudonyms: Catnip (Danny Wolfers with Luke Eargoggle ), The Chicago Shags (Danny Wolfers with Orgue Electronique ), Gladio, Smackos, Smackulator ( Lego world with Speculator ), Squadra Blanco, Venom 18, Klaus Weltman and Raheem Hershel.

In addition to his work as a producer Lego world is much as a DJ. There accompany him often hatch Eargoogle and musicians of Bunker Records.
