Lemaître (crater)

Lemaître is an impact crater on the southern hemisphere of the moon back. It is located south of the older Minkowski crater and north of Crommelin Crater. Towards the east-southeast is the crater Eijkman.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1970 by the Belgian priest Georges Lemaître and astrophysicists.
