Leni Junker

Leni Junker ( Junker actually Helene, married Thymm; born December 8, 1905 in Kassel, † February 9, 1997 in Wilhelmshaven ) was a German track and field athlete.

On September 13, 1925, she won her first world and European record in the 100 -meter run in Wiesbaden. Olympic record she ran in 1928 at the Olympic Games, along with Leni Schmidt. In the German Athletics Championships she won the bronze medal over 100 meters in 1928 and the gold medal in 1931. At the German Championships 1923 she won the silver medal in the high jump.

At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 she won the team bronze medal in the 4 x 100 - meter relay along with teammates Pink waiter, Leni Schmidt and Anni Hold man behind the team from Canada ( gold) and the team from the United States (silver).

Leni Junker was 1.68 m tall and weighed 68 kg.
