Leni Schmidt

Leni Schmidt, actually Helene Hermine Schmidt, married Fischer ( born December 28, 1906 in Bremen, † November 11, 1985 in Bremen) was a German sprinter.

Biography

Schmidt was a participant at the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam. She won the team bronze medal in the 4 x 100 - meter relay in 49.0 s, together with their teammates Pink waiter, Anni Hold husband and Leni Junker, behind the team from Canada ( gold) and the team from the USA ( silver). In the 100 - meter race she won both their advantages and the intermediate run, but was eliminated in the finals, as they caused two false starts.

In 1929, she was at the German Athletics Championships third in 200 -meter run.

Schmidt started for Sportfreunde Bremen.
