Lenka Kotková

Lenka Kotková ( born Šarounová; born 26 July 1973 in Dobrichovice ) is a Czech astronomer.

She is a profiled discoverer of asteroids. She works at the observatory Ondřejov near Prague. In addition to several asteroids in the main belt, she discovered ( 9671 ) Hemera ( this asteroid crosses the Mars Orbit ) and ( 21804 ) Václavneumann ( a member of the Hilda group).

In 2000 she received the Award of the Czech Zdenek Kvíz Astronomical Society ( ČAS Česká astronomická společnost ) for her work on variable stars.

The asteroid ( 10390 ) Lenka was named after her on 28 July 1999; he was discovered by her colleagues Petr Pravec and Marek Wolf in 1997. The discovered Lenka Kotková in 1999 Asteroid ( 60001 ) Adélka is named after her daughter.
