Lenore Smith

Lenore Smith ( born October 25, 1958 in Balmain, Sydney, Australia) is an Australian actress. In Germany she became known for her role as Nurse Kate Wellings in the series The Flying Doctors.

She has two younger siblings, Linda and Neil.

At the age of 17 years, Lenore began her studies in economics. They were, however, to favor an artistic career then took acting lessons after a professor had told her that the prospects of finding a job would look bad.

After two and a half years of lessons she got her first starring role in The Restless Years. Then she talked with commercials and smaller roles on water. In the early 1980s she moved to London. Actually, they just wanted to see her sister, but then remained for a whole year and worked as a waitress. There, she reached the telegram in which she was invited to audition for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
