Lenore Smith
Lenore Smith ( born October 25, 1958 in Balmain, Sydney, Australia) is an Australian actress. In Germany she became known for her role as Nurse Kate Wellings in the series The Flying Doctors.
She has two younger siblings, Linda and Neil.
Curriculum vitae
At the age of 17 years, Lenore began her studies in economics. They were, however, to favor an artistic career then took acting lessons after a professor had told her that the prospects of finding a job would look bad.
After two and a half years of lessons she got her first starring role in The Restless Years. Then she talked with commercials and smaller roles on water. In the early 1980s she moved to London. Actually, they just wanted to see her sister, but then remained for a whole year and worked as a waitress. There, she reached the telegram in which she was invited to audition for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. She played the role of Kate Wellings six years and thus became a popular series actress in Australia. In 1988 she was awarded the Penguin Award in the category Best Actress in a Series.
Then it was professionally silent about them. She played some minor roles in series and appeared at the theater. Your last appearance was in 2002 as a guest star in the series Farscape as Lt.. Darinta Larell.
At the moment she is no longer working as an actress but has accepted a position as personal assistant to the Mayor of Sydney 2004.
Lenore Smith was married three times. In 1981 she married actor Gary Sweet. The marriage lasted only 18 months. When a bomb scare in Sydney, she met actor Matt Kay and marries him in 1985. Matt Kay is seen in the series The Flying Doctors as a flying postman. After five years, the marriage fell apart. With the filming of the series Lenore bändelte with her colleague Christopher Stollery. They did not marry, but lived until 1993 in Sydney together. 1997 Lenore married for the third time. The actor Warren Jones she is dating to this day.
