Leo Adde

Leo Adde, Leon also add, (* April 21, 1904 in New Orleans, † March 1, 1942 ) was an American jazz drummer.

Add first began to play a cigar box percussion; in a duo with Raymond Burke, he joined the mid- 1910s on the streets of New Orleans. Adde was the early 1920s, a member of the Halfway House Orchestra conducted by Abbie Brunies; End of the decade he played in Johnny Miller 's New Orleans Frolickers. Adde was involved in the 1920s with shots of Johnny Bayer Dorffer and the New Orleans Rhythm Kings.

In the 1930s Adde played with the Melody Masters, which were headed by Sharkey Bonano and Louis Primate brother Leon Prima. With the ensemble, he moved to New York City, where they played together as New Orleans Melody Masters. End of the decade he recorded with the New Orleans Owls and returned to New Orleans, where he died in 1942.
