Leo II, King of Armenia

Leon III. or Leo III. (Armenian Լեւոն Գ; * around 1236, † 1289 ) was King of Lesser Armenia from 1270 to 1289, he was the son of Hethum I and Queen Isabella of Armenia..

In 1262 he married Keran ( Kir Anna ), daughter of Prince Hethum of Lambron. In 1266 he was captured in the fight against the Mamluks, his younger brother Thoros was killed. Leo was ransomed by his father, who shortly afterwards abdicated in his favor.

In 20 years of marriage, Leo, and Cheran got 15 children, eight sons and seven daughters, of whom two sons and two daughters died young; five of his sons were - mostly in the fight against one another - King of Lesser Armenia:
