Leo Ubbelohde
Leo Karl Eduard Ubbelohde (born 4 January 1877 in Hannover, † February 28, 1964 in Dusseldorf ) was a German physical chemist.
Throughout his career, he worked as a professor at the technical universities of Karlsruhe and Berlin. He became known for his research on mineral oils, fuels, catalysis and viscosity. He was the inventor of a viscometer for determination of kinematic viscosity, known today as " Ubbelohde viscometer ." 1933 Leo Ubbelohde founding member of the German Scientific Society for Petroleum and Coal ( DGMK ).
