Léonard-Léopold Forgemol de Bostquénard

Léonard -Léopold Forgemol de Bostquénard ( born September 17, 1821 in Azerables, Creuse, † November 28, 1897 in Paris) was a French general.

Forgemol de Bostquénard attended the Military School of Saint- Cyr in 1841 and joined the army in Algeria. During the Franco-German War he was appointed Chief of Staff of the 17th Army Corps and 1871 to brigadier general. Finally, he was employed as Chief of General Staff of the 7th Army Corps in Besançon.

After Forgemol de Bostquénard had been appointed general of division in 1879, he came to the suppression of a riot to Constantine in Algeria. In 1881 he commanded an expedition of the Corps, which occupied Tunis Division, and was soon afterwards there commander in chief. He returned to France to become in 1883 the Commanding General of the 11th Army Corps in Nantes in October, which he commanded until 1 February 1890.
