Leonardo the Musical: A Portrait of Love

Leonardo ( full name: Leonardo: A Portrait of Love ) is an Australian musical about the love life of Leonardo da Vinci, written by Duke Minks, Russell Dunlop, Greg Moeller and Tom Moeller. It was performed in the late 1980s in the West End in London with Simon Burke as Leonardo, Erana Clark, James Barron and a choir. It was financed by the government of the island nation of Nauru, which invested $ 2.9 million in it. The project was canceled by the theater management in London after four weeks due to lack of success. In 1992 it was listed in Oxford in 1995 and again in London, but also without success.

Leonardo is just one example of the waste of the Nauruan wealth, which the local government has pursued for decades.
