Leonid Solovyov

Leonid Vasilyevich Solovyov (Russian Леонид Васильевич Соловьёв, scientific transliteration Leonid Solovyev Vasil'evič; * 6 Augustjul / August 19 1906greg in Tripoli (Lebanon ). . † April 9, 1962 in Leningrad) was a Russian writer and screenwriter.

Biography

Solovyov was born the son of a standing in tsarist diplomatic service officers in Libya. 1909 returned to the family; she lived in the province of Samarkand, now part of Uzbekistan. Solovyov himself remained until 1931 in the Central Asian region, worked in various professions (journalist, teacher of Russian ) and collected in the Ferghana Valley local folk poetry. In 1932 he joined the Soviet State Cinematographic Institute at the Faculty for screenplays. During World War II he served as a war correspondent in the fleet. From 1946 to 1954 he sat in the Gulag or lived in exile. After his release, he lived in Leningrad.

Works

Solovyov's by far the most popular work are composed of two parts, the troublemaker (Russian: Возмутитель спокойствия ) and the enchanted prince (Russian: Очарованный принц ) existing plant.
