Les Appalaches Regional County Municipality

Les Appalaches Regional County Municipality is a (French municipalité régional du comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Quebec.

It is located in the Chaudière - Appalaches administrative region and consists of 19 subordinate administrative units (two cities, 13 municipalities and four Sprengel ). The MRC was established on 1 January 1982. The main town is Thetford Mines. The population is 42,904 and the area 1911.1 km ², which corresponds to a population density of 22.4 inhabitants per km ². Until November 15, 2008 MRC L' Amiante said.
