Les Feuillants Abbey

The monastery Les Feuillants ( Fulium ) is a former Cistercian abbey in the Haute- Garonne, Midi-Pyrénées region in France. The monastery was about 8 km south of Rieumes in the community Labastide -Clermont.

History

The monastery was founded in 1145 on the Count Bernard IV of Comminges gestiftetem country and it initially Monastery Dalon from. 1169 (or 1163 ) it joined the Cistercian Order, and was settled by Monastery of La Crête from the filiation of primary Abbey Mori Moon. Later it came into the filiation of the monastery of Loc -Dieu. In the 16th century it went from the reform of the Kommendatarabts Jean de La Barrière from, in consequence of the monastery in 1592 broke up as head of the Order of Feuillants the Cistercian Order.
