Les Gobelins (Paris Métro)

Les Gobelins is an underground station of the Paris Métro. It is located below the Avenue des Gobelins in the 5th and the 13th arrondissement of Paris and is served by the Métro line 7. The station is named after the Manufacture des Gobelins.

The station was taken on February 15, 1930 in operation, as the portion of line 10 (line 7 today ) was opened by the Odéon station to station Place d'Italie. On April 26, 1931, the section of line 7 from Pont Sully (now Sully - Morland ) was up to the Place Monge extended, so that the trains could switch to lower the branch line 10. The piece of the line 10 from the Place Monge to the Place d'Italie was thus to line 7 Line 10 runs since then via the northern route further to the Gare d' Austerlitz.
