Les Hurlements d'Léo

Les Hurlements d' Léo is a French folk rock band from Bordeaux. Their music is a mix of French chanson and punk or ska. They are in the tradition of Les Vertes negresses. Her name means as much as Leo's screaming.

Band History

Founded in 1995, they originally played almost exclusively in the local scene of south west France, before they went through appearances at national festivals of Bourges, La Rochelle and Rennes a national name in the French live scene. In 1998, she took on her first album Le Café des Jours Heureux. In the same year they acquired with the band Les Ogres de Barback Latcho Drom that, a circus tent, with both bands together in France went into the episode on tour. The second album La Belle Affaire followed in 2000. Appearances in Australia, Belgium, Russia and Japan followed, as well as a first appearance at the Sziget Festival in Budapest. In 2001, she went with the Latcho Drom in France, Poland and Switzerland on tour. For the first time they played in Berlin. The recorded this live album Un Air Deux Familles was a great success in France. 2003 collaboration with the Berlin-based band 17 Hippies followed. The EP was recorded in Berlin hardcore troubadours. Performances in Berlin, France and Moscow followed. 2004, the EP was released in France by Wagram. An extensive joint tour of France followed. In the same year they released their third album Ouest Terne, also at Wagram. 2005 was followed by a live album, and in March 2006 her latest album Temps Suspendu. In 2007, a collaboration with the Italian band L' Enfance Rouge. However, the joint tour could not build on past successes.
