Lesléa Newman

Leslea Newman ( born 1955 in Brooklyn, New York ) is an American author.

Newman has been written over 40 books. She lives openly lesbian and is a representative of feminism. One of the themes of her books are her life as a Jew, the topics, body image and eating disorders, lesbian life, Rainbow families and their gender roles as a femme.

She received a literary award the Massachusetts Artists Fellowship in Poetry and the James Baldwin price. Four of her books were finalists for the Lambda Literary Award.
