Leslie Godfree
Leslie Allison Godfree (* April 27 1885 in Brighton, † November 17, 1971 in London ) was an English tennis player.
Career
Godfree took from 1920 to 1930 at the Wimbledon Championships in part. While he never fulfilled in a single over the third round, he won there in 1923 in a double on the side of Randolph Lycett. In addition, he was able to win the 1926 Mixed Competition with his wife Kathleen McKane Godfree - so far the only couple.
From 1923 to 1927 he took for Great Britain at the Davis Cup - exclusively in a double - and won six of his eleven games.
He died in 1971 at the age of 86 years in the London Borough of Richmond.
