Lesná (Tachov District)

Lesná ( German Schoenwald ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic.

Geography

Lesná located nine kilometers south-west of Tachov at 643 m asl in the Upper Palatinate Forest ( Český les ) and belongs to the Okres Tachov on. South-east of the village on Holý vrch stems from the Kateřinský Potok ( Catherine Bach), which bears the name Pfreimd on German territory. The extensive municipal area covers large areas of forest to the border with the neighboring Bavarian communities Flossenbiirg and George Berg.

History

Schoenwald was first mentioned in 1349. Since 1720 the town had its own parish, before he was gepfarrt after Purschau. 1939 lived in Schoenwald with the hamlets island Thal, Kohlerhof and Kolm 564 inhabitants.

The municipality Česká Ves ( with České Nové Domky Josefovo Údolí Nová Knížecí Huť Stary Pochr ) was dissolved and seed off after 1948 because of their border areas during the construction of the Iron Curtain; in 1952 it was declared öffiziell lapsed. Stara Knížecí Huť ( with Haje ), Zahájí ( with Přední Zahájí and Zadnà Zahájí ) and Nový Losimtál ( with Nová Huť ) were also dissolved and incorporated in 1948. At the same time as part of the dissolution of the community Pavlův Studenec the corridors of those districts Nový Windischgrätz Ostrůvek and Zlatý Potok were slammed to Lesná. In 1961, still Písařova Vesce was incorporated ( with Bažantov ).

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Lesná Haje ( lyre angle) Lesná ( Schoenwald ) Písařova Vesce ( Albers village) and Stara Knížecí Huť ( Altfürstenhütte ). Basic settlement units are Bažantov ( Wosant ), Česká Ves ( Böhmischdorf ) Jedlina ( New Losimthal also Neulosimthal ) Lesná, Ostrůvek (Island Thal ), Písařova Vesce, Stara Knížecí Huť and Zahájí ( Waldheim ). The municipality is divided into the Katastralbezirke Bažantov, Česká Ves u Lesné, Jedlina, Lesná u Tachova, Pavlův Studenec 1 (Island Thal ), Písařova Vesce, Stara Knížecí Huť and Zahájí u Lesné.

On the territory of the municipality also contains the extinct towns České Nové Domky ( Bohemian Neuhausl ) Josefovo Údolí ( Josefsthal ) Kolerova Huť ( Kohlerhof ), Nová Huť ( Neuhütte ), Nová Knížecí Huť ( Neufürstenhütte ) Skláře ( New Windischgrätz ) Stoupa ( Altpocher ) and Zlatý Potok ( Goldbach ).
