Leśnica, West Pomeranian Voivodeship

Leśnica ( German Ficht mountain ) is a town in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. It belongs to the Gmina Darłowo (Rügenwalde ) in the powiat Slawienski ( Schlawe ).

Geographical location

Leśnica located 12 kilometers southwest of Darłowo and is on a side road that branches off in Bukowo Morskie ( See Buckow ) from the province road 203, accessible. Station is Wiekowo (Alt Wieck ) on the railway line Stargard - Gdańsk.

History

The place Ficht mountain was in its history always connected to Lake Buckow, as also the place William Heath (Polish: Bezmieście ). Here are just a few people lived in about 15 households. The inhabitants were and are predominantly engaged in agriculture and forestry.

By 1945 Ficht mountain belonged to the municipality in the district of See Buckow Schlawe i Pom. in the district of the Prussian province of Pomerania Pomerania.

Today Leśnica is part of Gmina Darłowo in powiat Slawienski in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Church

The most Protestant residents of Ficht mountain belonged until 1945 to the Church at Lake Buckow, which is mostly Catholic parish church for the residents of Leśnica today.
