LeToya Luckett
LeToya Nicole Luckett Keyshia ( born March 11, 1981 in Houston, Texas) is an American R & B singer. From 1993 until 1999 she was a member of the successful girl group Destiny 's Child, from 2001 to 2003 a member of the R & B girl group Anjel and also owner of fashion boutique Lady Elle in Houston / Texas.
In early 2006, Luckett tried his hand as a solo artist, reaching with her debut single Torn the top 40 in the U.S. charts and Top 3 of the R & B charts. In July it managed Lucketts self-titled debut album for a week at the top of the U.S. charts and sold over 165,000 times in a week. In September LeToya was awarded a gold record for 500,000 CDs sold by the RIAA.

Life
Destiny 's Child (1993-1999)
1993 LeToya Luckett joined the dance group Girls Tyme. The group had numerous small appearances in shopping malls in and around Houston / Texas and participated in talent competitions such as on Star Search. As a record deal with Columbia Records was imminent, they changed the name of the group Destiny 's Child, which was henceforth from Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland, LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson.
1998 achieved the band immediately with her debut single No No No (featuring Wyclef Jean) worldwide success. It was followed by other singles like Bug a Boo and Bills, Bills, Bills. In parallel, Destiny's Child released two albums: Destiny 's Child (1998) and The Writing 's on the Wall ( 1999). At the height of Luckett and Roberson left the band due to various disagreements with manager Matthew Knowles.
With the first release after the separation, the # 1 published in 2000 hit Say My Name, which was accompanied by a new cast of Destiny 's Child, the group finally became Pophänomen. With Say My Name, the group won two Grammys for Best R & B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals and Best R & B Song. Since Luckett co-wrote the song, she was presented with just two Grammies later. The band released in 2001 the album Survivor, 2004, the album Destiny Fulfilled and broke up in 2005 finally on.
Anjel (2001-2003)
Luckett decided to found together with Roberson own R & B girl group. The duo held auditions in the U.S. and eventually found another member Naty Quinones from Atlanta. The formation called from now on Anjel. To counteract immediate compare with Destiny 's Child, it was decided to make the trio a quartet. Tiffany Beaudoin, a singer from Houston, finally joined as the fourth member.
The band started in the following years to work on the debut album. However, when it came in 2003 to conflicts with the record company and several postponements, the publication has been permanently deleted and announced the dissolution of Anjel by band spokesman.
Solo career (from 2004)
2004 Luckett finally decided to Solointerpretin than to try their luck. She signed a recording contract with Capitol Records and was from then on some soundtracks and collaborations with label mates such as Houston (My Promise) heard. In early 2005, she published with You Got What I Need and All Eyes On Me two promo singles, but for the time being only ran on the radio and were only available on vinyl records.
End of July 2006, the first self-titled solo album, LeToya was published for its production showed among other things responsible Jermaine Dupri, Scott Storch and Just Blaze. End of July, the album debuted at # 1 on the U.S. album charts and sold only in the first week, more than 165,000 times. The first official single release Torn, produced by Teddy Bishop, developed in the spring and summer 2006 hit, boarded the top 3 of the American R & B charts, and also reached # 31 on the Billboard charts. The second single She Do reached # 17 R & B charts.
In July 2007, Luckett announced in an interview that her second studio album Lady Love is hot. The new album will appear in early 2008 and will be collaborations with Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Rodney Jerkins and Babyface contain, inter alia. Two new songs ( Lady Love and Do not Let Me Get Away ) she sang the opening act for Mary J. Blige in the USA.
In January 2014 Luckett has announced the title of her three studio album known, it is Until Then hot. The first single from the album is called Do not Make Me Wait.
