Lev Berezner

Lev Alexandrovich Beresner (Russian Лев Александрович Березнер; born June 6, 1970 in Obninsk ) is a retired Russian football player.

Life and career

Lew Beresner was born in 1970 in Obninsk. He attended the local football school and eventually moved to Dynamo Moscow, for their second team, he played in the following years. In 1991 he moved to Dinamo Sukhumi, in the Perwaja League, the then second highest league in the country. With the dissolution of the Soviet Union Beresner moved to the now independent Ukraine, and was obliged by the FSC Bukovina Chernivtsi. After the end of the season he switched to Chernomorets Novorossiysk. He stayed there for the most successful period of his career, and was used in a total of nearly 200 league games. 1998 suffered a foot injury at a training Beresner through which he had to pause for some time. He could not go on his old performances and was singled out by coach Oleg Dolmatow from the team in 1999.

2000 wanted Beresner his career originally continue at Amkar Perm Anzhi Makhachkala or, but then was close to signing a contract with CSKA Moscow. As this but then failed to materialize, Beresner ended his football career.

Later Beresner studied at the State University of Management in Moscow and worked in local politics in his home town of Obninsk.
