Levent Yüksel

Levent Yüksel ( born October 21, 1964 in Antalya) is an artist of Turkish pop music.

Youth

Levent attended school up to junior high school in his hometown of Antalya. During middle school, he began playing guitar and making music soon for wedding parties. In order to become a professional musician, he enrolled at the State Conservatory in Istanbul ( İstanbul Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuarı ) and studied the double bass.

After his military service Levent played bass guitar and sang in a dance and music Orchestra. This group - which also included, among others, Sertab Erener, Fatih Erkoç and Aşkın Arsunan - was later discovered by Sezen Aksu. Levent married twice, but divorced again.

Career

After six months of production time Levent published - together with Uzay heparins - his first album Med Cezir (1993 ), which was very successful with close to one million copies sold. Because of tragedies such as the death Uzays and difficult operations of Levent and Sertab he sat for two years from the music, to publish in 1996 his second album Levent Yüksel'in 2 CD'si. The album was co-produced by Onno Tunç, who died two days after its release. Reached its zenith Levent with its 1997 Single Bi ' Daha, whose lyrics came from Sezen Aksu. Somewhat less successful was his following albums Adı Menekse (1998), Aşkla (2001) and after a long pause Uslanmadım ( 2004).
