Lhanbryde

Lhanbryde (Gaelic: Lann Brìghde ) is a village in the Scottish unitary authority Moray. It is located near the south shore of the Moray Firth around five kilometers east of Elgin and 85 miles northwest of Aberdeen.

The A96, which connects Inverness with Aberdeen, tangent to the village and binds it to to the road network. In the year 1961 525 inhabitants were counted in Alves. In the following 40 years, the population had risen to 1998. Last 1845 persons was recorded in 2001.

In Lhanbryde three buildings of the highest Scottish monument category A are listed. This includes the Built around 1600 enclosure of the old cemetery. The Tower House Coxton Tower dates from the early 17th century. It was built for Robert Innes of Invermarkie and Alexander Innes of Coxton. The residential building Pittensair was built in 1735 by the stonemason James Ogilvie. He lived it myself
