Lhotka (Žďár nad Sázavou District)

Lhotka is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers northeast of Zdar nad Sázavou and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Lhotka is located in the south of Saarer mountains on the right side of the creek Staviště. To the north rise the Skalice (781 m) and the Sklenský vrch (781 m), in the northeast of Bednářův Kopec ( 762 m ) west of the Zlata horka (640 m) and in the northwest of Kříbek (709 m).

Neighboring towns are Sklené in the north, Tři Studně, U Fousků and Vlachovice in the northeast, Cihelna, U Mrázků and Jiříkovice in the east, Radňovice the southeast, Slavkovice, Veselíčko and Mělkovice in the south, Plíčky, Zdar nad Sázavou and Vysočany the southwest, Vysoke and Počítky in the west and Čvrtě in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the Cistercian monastery associated Saar village took place in 1407, during the award of privileges by the Lords of Lipa and Lichtenburg. In 1607 the first local label is detectable, which is a fish.

After the abolition of patrimonial Lhotka formed in 1850 a municipality in the administrative district of Nove Mesto. In 1904, the volunteer fire department founded. 1949 Lhotka was assigned to the Okres Zdar nad Sázavou. Between 1980 and 1991 the village was incorporated to Zdar nad Sázavou. Since 2005, the municipality performs a coat of arms.
