Li Weifeng

Li Weifeng (李玮锋, lǐ Weifeng; born December 1, 1978 in Changchun, Jilin ) is a Chinese football player and, since October 11, 2011 most-capped player in his country.

Life

Li began his career in 1998 at Shenzhen Shangqingyin. 2002, the central defender tried briefly in Europe, when he was obliged Everton under a sponsoring contract with the Chinese company Keijan. Here, however, he could not prevail and only came to use in the FA Premier League. 2003, therefore, he returned to China and went back to Shenzhen Shangqingyin. In 2006 he moved to league rivals Shanghai Shenhua.

Li was Chinese national team. He participated in the 2002 World Cup. In September 2006, flew the team captain of the team, as he had beaten a team-mate and had seen for his sixth red card within 14 months. He played 93 international matches in which eleven goals get him. In the only previous meeting with the German national team on 12 October 2005, he inflicted the penalty to make it 1-0 final score for the German selection. In the Home 2008 Olympics Li Weifeng was in China's squad here.

On October 11, 2011, he played in the World Cup qualifier against Iraq be 109th international game and turned so that the record of Hao Haidong one whose official A- international matches were reduced by FIFA on 10 June 2011 from 115 to 109.
