Libranet

Libranet is a Linux distribution based on Debian GNU / Linux. This distribution is a product based in Vancouver, Canada Libra Computer Systems Ltd.. This company developed and sold UNIX systems since 1984. A first version of Libranet was in November 1999 at debian.org by the company's owner presented. The latest version was released as Libranet 3.0 on 25 April 2005. These cost around 90USD for new users and 65 USD for those who already have demonstrated a previous version of Libranet. The previous version was 2.8.1 from the release date of version 3.0 available as software for free download.

After the sudden death of the President and founder of Libranet, Jon Danzig on June 3, 2005, his son and successor Tal Danzig was on 28 November 2005 that the development of Libranet is set.

The name comes from " Libra Computer Systems " ( www.libra.com ). WiFi is detected and installed automatically. As it has hardware support IDE, SATA, SCSI, USB, FireWire (IEEE1394), and PCMCIA.
