Lied für Sachsen-Anhalt

The song for Saxony-Anhalt is a national anthem, which refers to the state of Saxony -Anhalt. Lyrics and melody come from Klaus Adolphi. It has no official function, although it was in 1991, chosen by the then state government under Prime Minister Gerd Gies in the context of a competition between different songs with the goal of becoming the official national anthem. Today it is indeed in the repertoire of regional choral societies, but not gained until today the reputation of other German regional anthems like the song Niedersachsen, Schleswig -Holstein - song or the Bavaria anthem.
