Liedson, 2007

Liedson da Silva Muniz ( born December 17, 1977 in Cairú, Bahia ), known as Liedson, is a Portuguese footballer of Brazilian origin, who currently is under contract with the Brazilian first division side Flamengo.

Club career

Liédson grew up in Cairú on in the Brazilian state of Bahia. Before he played for Sporting, Liedson was active only in Brazil.

From 2003 to 2011, the striker for Sporting Lisbon played in the Portuguese Super Liga. From the Sporting fans, he was called " Levezinho ". In the season 2004/ 05 and 2006/ 07 he was top scorer in the Portuguese Super Liga and scored a total of 100 goals for his club. On 7 March 2010, he scored all four goals in a 0-4 away win against local rivals Belenenses Lisbon.

Mid-2011, he returned to Brazil to SC Corinthians Paulista.

Beginning of August 2012, it was announced that Liédson has signed a contract until the end of 2013 the Brazilian CR Flamengo.

On January 24, 2013, the Portuguese champions FC Porto announced the striker for the rest of the season to borrow. In Porto Liédson receives the return number 19

National

In his first international match for the Portuguese national football team, he beheaded on 5 September 2009, the 1-1 draw against Denmark in qualifying for the 2010 World Cup.
