Liffey Service Tunnel
The Liffey Services Tunnel is a tunnel line different line carrier in Dublin, Ireland. Owned by the city council of the city of Dublin.
The tunnel was designed by Atkins and in a joint venture by the German construction Ed. Züblin AG, Stuttgart and the Irish construction company Cleary & Doyle Contracting Ltd. , Wexford created. Construction period was from September 2006 to October 2008.

Tunnel design
The tunnel was built in pipe jacking method. The pre-pressed concrete steel pipes had i.d.R. a length of 2.5 m. The tunnel passes under the south end of the East -Link bridge the River Liffey towards the northern quay wall ( North Quay Wall ), about 150 meters west of the event center at The Point Theatre. The start and target shaft are 19 and 22 m deep. The tunnel passes through the navigation channel in the river with about 8 m coverage.
