Ligakupa
The Ligakupa to German " League Cup ", with a full Hungarian name Labdarúgó Magyar Ligakupa ( Hungarian Football League Cup ") is a cup competition, featuring the most Hungarian football first division. He was the 2007/2008 season introduced and this season individual second division at the start ( eg Vac, Pécs, Ferencvaros ). in the past, there have been occasional competitions under the name of the League Cup in Hungary.
The 16 first division are divided into four groups of four - on a geographical basis - divided. After completion of the group draw the first and second placed the quarter-finals. In the knock-out system, it goes on until the final ( which is how all games played previously with return game).
There is a passage in the fall, parallel to the first half of the First Division, the Nemzeti National Championship, and a passage in the spring parallel to the League second round. The season final of the League Cup contest then the fall to the spring winner. Win a team both finals, a gala match against league selection will be played instead of the cross- playoff.
After the FC Fehérvár won the Erstausspielung in the 2007/ 08 season, the club successfully defended the title the following season.
