The Ligbi (also Ligwi, Nigbi, Nigwi, tuba, Banda, Dzowo, Namasa, Tsie, Weila, Wiila, Weela and Jogo ) is the language of West African Ligbi ethnic group with only about 15,000 speakers in Ghana (2003 GILLBT ) and about 4,000 speakers in the Ivory Coast.

In Ghana Ligbi is spoken in Numasa in the northwestern area of the Brong- Ahafo Region, east of Sampa and northwest of Wenchi.

In Ivory Coast Ligbi is used in the eastern department in a larger village called Bineto. There is also a speaker group in Bouna and the City SLIL near Boundoukou and some speakers in Ourodougou is discussed on the sidelines to area in the Malinke.

Recognized dialects are Bungase, Gyogo, Hwela ( Weila, Wiila, Weela, Vwela ) Dwera ( Manji - Kasa ), Atumfour ( Atoumfuor - Kasa ) and Ntoleh.
