Lil’ Louis

Lil ' Louis is the pseudonym of the American DJ and producer Louis Burns ( * in Chicago, Illinois). French Kiss With him came in 1989 's international breakthrough.

Biography

Louis Burns is the son of guitarist Bobby Sims, who played in the soul band Rotary Connection, and has nine siblings. Even as a child he played drums and bass, mid-1970s, he began as a DJ to work. With appearances at the club River's Edge Burns got the nickname 'Lil ' Louis '. At the end of the decade he had his own club and began to develop the first cutting techniques. He was helped, inter alia, a tape recorder.

In the 1980s, organized Lil ' Louis large house parties in Chicago. There Burns took on his first productions. The debut single How I Feel was released on his own label. 1987 French Kiss became the local hit. Two years later the title became world for club and chart hit. Then Burns got a contract with major label Epic Records in 1989 and released his debut album, From the Mind of Lil ' Louis. The outcoupling I Called U was a club hit and climbed into the British Top 20

When the second album Journey with the Lonely remained largely unsuccessful, to Lil ' Louis drew a few years back from the business and produced for other artists such as Babyface and Meshell Ndegeocello. Through the collaboration with Louie Vega of Masters at Work Burns came back into the business and has worked with Black Magic. How's Your Evening so Far? by Josh Wink and Lil ' Louis was 2000, a hit in the UK charts.
