Liliana Fernández

Liliana Fernández Steiner ( born January 4, 1987 in Alicante ), called Lili, is a Spanish beach volleyball player.

Career

After Liliana had at the junior world championships in 2005 in Saint -Quay- Portrieux and 2006 in Mysłowice already places nineteen and nine finished, she missed 2007 in Modena with their new partner Elsa Baquerizo Macmillan in fourth barely a medal. 2008 Liliana / Baquerizo played their first joint Open Tournaments and Grand Slams. A year later they were seventh at the U23 European Championship in Jantarny. At the European Championships in Sochi that they separated from a group last after the first round. After two ninth places in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee and Stare Jabłonki they came at the European Championships in Berlin in 2010 as group winners into the second round, they lost to the Austrians Hansel / Monday Olli. At the 2011 World Championships in Rome as they reached third in the group the knockout round, and finally defeated by the U.S. women Fendrick / Hanson.
