Limba noastră (public holiday)

Limba noastra cea Română ( German Our language Romanian ) is a national holiday in Moldova, which is celebrated on 31 August 1990. It is reminiscent of 31 August 1989 between Romanian is the official language in Moldova was.

Origin

On August 27, 1989, there were on the Piata Victoriei ( German Victory Square ) in Chisinau, the largest demonstration in the history of the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic with 750,000 participants.
