Limbu is one of the Kiranti languages , a branch of the Tibeto-Burman, and is spoken by about 361,000 people in Nepal, Bhutan and India.
Limbu is divided into four dialects:
- East Limbu Pāñcthare
- Tamarkhole
- Phedappe
- Chathare
Limbu is written in the Limbu script, Devanagari is also common.
