Limulunga

Limulunga is the rainy season palace of Litunga, the king of the Lozi in Barotseland in Western Province in Zambia.

In the Kingdom of the Barotse today still remembers a palace. He is now a museum. It is situated 18 kilometers north of Mongu. At the end of the rainy season, when the level of the Zambezi River falls, pulls the Litunga in his palace in Lealui which is lower.

Limulanga is today a small village at 1,024 meters above sea level, with 7,571 inhabitants ( 2006 estimate ) on the hills east of the Zambezi and relatively new school - thanks church aid projects. In the village is a dirt-track, 1,000 -meter-long airstrip.
