Lina Kačiušytė

Lina Kačiušytė ( born January 1, 1963 in Vilnius ) is a former Lithuanian swimmer who competed for the Soviet Union in the seventies and eighties.

Your first major international appearance was at the World Championships in Berlin in 1978, when she won the title over 200m breaststroke. They improved in the course of the competition the world record two times. At the Olympic Games in 1980 she became Olympic champion over 200 m breaststroke.

She was the first woman to swim the 200m breaststroke at 2:30,0 minutes. In 1998, she was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
