The relieving station is a railway station in the district Geilenkirchener relieving. The station, located in the North Rhine -Westphalian Circle Heinberg is classified in category 4 station.

Alleviate is the separation of the railway station - relieving Heinberg ( Rheinl ) of the railway line Aachen -Mönchengladbach. Since November 10, 2013, the relieving station is also operationally again considered station. Between 2007 and the end of 2013 was relieving as breakpoint, locally connected to the further direction of Mönchengladbach located branching point the way to Heinberg, thus was the place of business a stop within the meaning of the Railway Construction and Operating Rules. History

The train station in alleviating including the station building was completed in 1852, and the people and added to the new Aachen- Dusseldorf - Ruhrorter railroad freight office in the same year. The ticket office is closed, 1989; today (2013 ) the station building is used by a restaurant and a kiosk, tickets can be purchased at a vending machine on the track.

The respectively located on the south side of the tracks mechanical interlockings Lf ( Type 43, built in 1950 at the station head towards Aachen ) and Lo (type Jüdel, built in 1930 at the station head towards Mönchengladbach ) have passed since the completion of the second construction phase of the electronic interlocking Grevenbroich on November 6, 2007 out of service, instead there is a range of hosts ( CBI -A) in a newly constructed building technique on the opposite side of the railway station at the Thomas Hofstraße.
