Lindsey Jacobellis

Lindsey Jacobellis ( born August 19, 1985 in Danbury, Connecticut) is an American snowboarder.

At the 2006 Winter Olympics they forgave their "safe" gold medal in snowboard cross competition. Since she had a big lead to the other riders in the final run, she tried at the last jump a " grave ", but crashed with this grip on the snowboard. The Swiss Tanja Frieden has thus succeeded to overtake them and Jacob Ellis was the silver medal. It justified the action shortly after the race so that the handle was necessary to stabilize the jump, as she had previously had trouble at this point. Subsequently, however, she admitted in an interview that the handle, which was classified by the community as mere " show action " was unnecessary. But a year later she was able to return the favor and, like two years earlier at the Snowboard World Cup 2005, World Champion at the Snowboard World Cup 2007 in boardercross. Your chance for rehabilitation at the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010 she missed by driving in the semifinals against a gate. She finished the competition in fifth place. At the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014, she was seventh.
