Line Rider

Line Rider is a flash game that was developed in September 2006 by the Slovenian Bostjan Čadež students.

Gameplay

With a kind of online flash tool paths are created. The user records tracks on the screen, on which then a man ( LineRider ) runs along with a carriage. As the carriage moves only on lines that were drawn from left to right and moves freely through the other, the player must construct complex images through the journey drags. The point of the game is that the Line Rider remains on the slide. Meanwhile, it is most players, however, concerned with painting beautiful backgrounds, and to keep the Line Rider in Wheelies ( by holding it by accelerating and braking in balance). Also " bugs " in which the Line Rider is attracted by a line ( Gravity Well ), are consciously employed as a trick. By the background arise distances of several thousand lines are often released as a video. There also some fansites and forums have been created, which are used to exchange various information about Line Rider as well as the exchange of. Sol files that store the routes on the computer. Thus, multiple players can play at a distance.

The difficulty in designing a path is that of Line Rider has a very well implemented physics engine, which does not allow overhead trips without centrifugal force or to design something similar. Also a too strong increase of the terrain at high speeds to let the Line Rider ( Bosh ) crash. Meanwhile, there gibe numerous beta- test versions in which there are new features. In November 2010, version 6.8 has been announced, in which it is to be a live multiplayer and an improved interface.

Tools

The Curve Maker is a tool with which you can draw perfect curves. It is a program where you have to specify only the location and angle of the curve and the number of lines. This means that almost no bumps are available, so that the Line Rider can be deflected and intercepted almost unlimited speed.

There are also other tools such as the Circle Maker for perfect circles or spiral tool for perfect spirals.
