Linguine

Linguine or Linguini (Italian for small tongue ( n ) ) is a pasta type that is similar to spaghetti, but is very flat.

Originally they come from Campania, a region in Italy. In the area around Genoa they are called Trenette and are usually served with pesto alla Genovese. The single noodle is about 4 mm wide.
